Halloween is upon us! Don’t miss your favorite events! With an Owl Prowl at Earthdance, pumpkin carving, and trick or treating opportunities this is one busy week. Need to add an event? Just send an email to us. Pictures or graphics can be included! (And thank you to Tim Larson for allowing us to spotlight one of his photos beginning this week on!)

Here’s the rundown for this week (always check for details at the event links, not all events are free):

Monday, October 25

The Ferguson Public Library has a new craft kit ready for pick-up on a first-come, first-served basis. This week’s craft is a “Pipe Cleaner Pumpkins.”

The North Elizabeth Neighborhood meeting is held on Zoom/phone at 7:00 pm. Need to see a map of neighborhood association? Check this link here.

Tuesday, October 26

Little Goblins Trick or Treat at the Community Center from 10:00 to 11:30 am. (Participants should have pre-registered and parent participation is required.)

The Ferguson City Council holds both a Special Meeting and its Regular Meeting in succession this evening. The Special meeting starts at 6:00 and will include discussion on Redevelopment Procedures in Ferguson Municipal Code and Discussion for Potential Firms for the revised Zoning Code. (Note: A contract was brought to the Council last May but was postponed due to the unexpectedly high bid of the selected company. You can brush up on what happened back then here.)

You can join the special meeting with the link or number here.

The Regular Council Meeting has two bills requiring a first reading, both are amendments to the Code of Ordinances. The first deals with Energy Conservation Codes, the second with a new Fire Prevention Code.

You can join the regular meeting with the link or number here.

Wednesday, October 27

Join Parks & Rec to carve pumpkins at the Community Center for Park & Rec’s Spooktacular from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Tuck in and join “Understanding How Your Local Government Works” with PROUD at 6:30.

Do you or someone you know need help with Rental Assistance? The Salvation Army will be able to help anyone coming to the Library from 9 am to 1 pm with filling out paperwork for the County’s emergency assistance. The Salvation Army can also schedule meetings for other times by calling 314-439-8306.

Come out to Owl Prowl at Earthdance Farms 5:00-7:00 pm to see the World Bird Sanctuary’s owls. A Farm Tour is scheduled at 5:00pm, All About Owls Program is at 6pm, and a special “Who’s in the Woods Walk” is at 7:00 pm. Extra bonus! The Pay-What-You-Can Farm Stand is open from 3:00-7:00 pm, so you can leave with some fresh goodies!

And don’t miss the deadline for submitting your pet in costume to the Howl-o-ween Pet Contest.

Saturday, October 30
