Civilian Review Board announces town halls

The FCRB will be hosting a series of five Zoom town hall meetings in January and February. Each meeting will feature a recording of a webinar originally broadcast as part of the 2020 National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE) Annual Conference. The recordings will last approx. 1 1/2 hours. These recordings are a great learning opportunity and will be followed by 1/2 hour discussion of questions and comments submitted by those attending the town hall.

All session times are 6-8pm.

The dates and topics are:

– Jan. 19: Innovative Approaches to Seeking Racial Equity in Law Enforcement Oversight
– Jan. 27: Community Engagement: Leading with a Trauma-Informed Lens
– Feb. 8: Implementing Procedural Justice: Strategies for Analyzing Police Stops
– Feb. 16: Calming a Crisis: Strategies to Reduce Use of Force
– Feb. 22: Police, Police Oversight, and Our Youth: Giving Young People a Voice in Police Oversight

Zoom links and telephone numbers for each town hall are available in our events calendar.
